
The Princeton Singers is a professional chamber choir performing international music of all cultures and periods, commissioning original works to advance the choral art and sharing joy of music with audiences around the world. Since 1983, the group's unique and brilliant sounds have delighted audiences at home and abroad. With first-rate musicianship, clarity of tone and innovative programming, The Princeton Singers has earned a reputation as one of the nation's preeminent chamber choirs.
Composed of some the area's finest professional singers, The Princeton Singers consistently perform to sold-out audiences and critical acclaim. Since its founding in 1983, the group has completed several European tours, recorded 7 CDs (most recently with the Grammy award-winning ensemble Chanticleer) and has been featured on National Public Radio's "Performance Today" and "With Heart and Voice".
Offering a repertoire of impressive depth, the ensemble is noted for its superb artistry, purity of sound and attention to detail.

Steven Sametz, Artistic Director
Now in his ninth season with The Princeton Singers, Steven Sametz has earned increasing renown as both a composer and a conductor. In addition to his position here, he is also the Director of Choral Activities at Lehigh University. He holds degrees from Yale University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Hochschule fur Musik and darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt, Germany. Recent guest conducting appearances include the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation, the Berkshire Choral Festival, the New York Chamber Symphony, and the Netherlands Radio Choir. Dr. Sametz's compositions have been heard throughout the world at the Tanglewood, Ravinia, Schleswig-Holstein, Santa Fe and Salzburg music festivals. His "in time of" appears on the recent Grammy award-winning CD by Chanticleer, "Colors of Love," and has been recorded, in two different versions, by Chanticleer and by The Princeton Singers. His works may be heard on six other Chanticleer CDs, as well as on The Princeton Singers' latest three CDs: "Old New Borrowed Blues," "Christmas with The Princeton Singers" and "Reincarnations." The soon-to-be released newest recording by The Princeton Singers will also feature many of his most well-known works.
