2007-2008 Concert Season
The Princeton Singers’ repertoire is unusually broad and culturally diverse. With music from the late sixteenth century to American classics and world premieres, this season offers something for every ear and every heart. Sounds of the Season
An international celebration of stories and songs of the season. Start the holiday festivities with a rich mixture of readings and music from Ukrainian, Chicano, Basque and British traditions. Music by Sametz, Cantaloube, Holst and carols for the holidays.

If Music Be the Food of Love
A musical banquet for your Valentine’s Day pleasure. Love music
from around the world combines with poetry of the heart. Sinful
dessert reception will follow and is included in the ticket price.

Live and Learn
Heinrich Schuetz studied with Gabrieli who was an apprentice of the great Orlando Lasso. Joseph Rheinberger instructed Horatio Parker who taught the enfant terrible Charles Ives; Ravel taught both Vaughan Williams and George Gershwin. The lively and sometimes stormy relationship of teacher and student is explored in this unique program tracing musical lineage.

Reflections of Heaven
The Hindu concept of Moksha (Heaven) provides the focal point of a new program in collaboration with the Princeton University Art Museum’s exhibition of photographs by Fazal Sheikh. Music by Paranjori, Palestrina and others. Indian soloist Arati Shah-Yukich (singer and tanpura) will be featured in a new work created especially for The Princeton Singers for this concert.
Space is limited. Please arrive early to ensure a place, as the program will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are required. Admission is $5 per person and free for Friends of the museum. Tickets are available in the museum shop.

A Child’s Christmas in Wales
A reprise of The Princeton Singers’ popular presentation of music complementing Dylan Thomas’s classic Christmas story of misrule and mayhem in the life of a country boy at Christmas. The Reverend David Davis returns as narrator.
Tickets are $15 for adults/seniors and $10 for students. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling (866) 846–SING (7464). Families, including children over age 10, will find this a wonderful holiday event.
