Myths/Multiforms/Minimalism

The Princeton Singers, in conjunction with the Princeton University Art Museum's exhibition of Mark Rothko's No. 3/No. 13, will explore Rothko's inspiration from Classical mythology and how his later work presages musical minimalism. Works by Randall Thompson, William Byrd, Pulitzer Prize winner Steven Stucky, Steve Reich, and featuring Gyorgy Ligeti's 16-part Lux Aeterna.

A Child's Christmas in Wales

Nassau Presbyterian Church, Princeton
Saturday, December 3rd at 6:00PM - $25 adults/$10 students

Our popular holiday concert which features music complementing Dylan Thomas' classic story of misrule and mayhem in the life of a country boy at Christmas.  Music will include traditional holiday favorites and carols and the Reverend David Davis of Nassau Presbyterian Church will return as the narrator of this lively, nostalgic story.  This program is recommended for children ages 12 and older.

In conjunction with the Princeton University Art Museum's exhibition Princeton and the Gothic Revival: 1870 - 1930, The Princeton Singers takes a look back at music of the Victorian age from sacred to sentimental and how the British traditions took root in America. Music of Parry, Stanford, Buck, and Ives. Tim Harrell, guest organist, plays the Princeton Chapel 1928 AEolian-Skinner organ.
There is no charge for admission - this concert is graciously sponsored by the Princeton University Art Museum. No tickets required.
